Rob Townley

President

After initially working as a consultant out of college, Rob decided to join the family business in 2005.  He spent his early career in various roles learning the business and overhauling the technology to prepare Townley Kenton for future growth.  In 2013, Rob purchased the company along with multiple smaller entities to form the current day Townley Kenton.  Since then, he has served on numerous company advisory panels and non-profit boards, while focusing on the development of emerging leaders within the company and community.  He is grateful to be married to his far more talented wife Jackie as they raise their two amazing children together.

“The most rewarding aspect of my role over the past few years has been working with the team from a mentorship standpoint and watching their growth as leaders in the company and as individuals.  This is a focus within the Townley Kenton culture which we believe is unique in the business landscape today.  Having the opportunity to continually live the values of our founder and see their impact has been amazing.”

Alvin Townley, Jr.

Senior Risk Advisor

Education: Oxford College of Emory University (1967), University of Georgia (BBA, 1969) and (MBA, 1971)

Alvin, Jr. joined his father’s company, then the Alvin M. Townley Insurance Agency, in 1971. He continued to expand the company throughout the 70’s and 80’s, and eventually took it over. He brought in his partner, Alan Kenton, in 2003 and the company became Townley Kenton. He still serves as an advisor to clients and his son, Rob Townley, who now runs the agency. He otherwise enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and their children and grandchildren. Alvin also volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and many other organizations in the community.

What do you like most about working at Townley Kenton?
“I like being able to help both individuals and businesses solve their insurance needs and at the time of a loss, helping to bring the benefits of the insurance proceeds to make them whole.”

Amy Bowyer

Amy is a personal lines expert who has worked in insurance for over 20 years. Outside of work she is the busy mother of three amazing kids, ages 19, 16, and 7.

“Making a difference, no matter the situation – quoting coverage, policy changes, or just listening. I love working at TKI because my bosses rock!!! Also, having a diverse market to meet our clients’ needs is pretty cool.”

Cornelia Torres-Hamlin

Executive Administrator

Education: Florida State University 2018 – Psychology and Spanish

Cornelia just recently started working in the insurance world on the operations side for Townley Kenton and previously was an Account Executive for an IT staffing firm here in Atlanta. She enjoys spending time with her puppy Cali, cheering on her Florida State Seminoles, and trying great new restaurants off Buford Highway!

“I love the fact that everyone is constantly learning. Coming into insurance with little background knowledge, the time and effort the team puts into educating themselves and others is really amazing.”

My dad immigrated to the US from the Dominican Republic and met my mom. I was raised in here in Atlanta!

Joel Carlton

Joel is a Licensed Insurance Counselor and commercial lines expert who has worked in the insurance industry since 1992. Outside of work, Joel enjoys coaching youth baseball, singing in his church choir, and finding new barbeque restaurants in Atlanta.

Lindsey Torres

Lindsey began her career in insurance here at Townley Kenton in 2014 and came from a background in health and exercise science. She quickly learned the ropes of insurance as a personal lines account manager and is now also our top new client intake specialist. She has also earned her Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys fashion, good food and quality time with her family, which includes her husband, three dogs and a brand new baby girl, born at the end of 2021.

Matthew Adams

3.5 years – Prior – Entrepreneur in entertainment marketing, working with many major music labels and artists before moving on to creating/running a clothing subscription company for 6 years.

What are a few things you enjoy doing outside of work?
In my personal time I enjoy blacksmithing, playing guitar and drums, building coral reef aquariums, and going to Atlanta Gladiators hockey games with friends and family.

After working in the healthcare administration field for over 10 years, Laura made a career change and discovered how much she enjoyed helping clients with their insurance needs. She found Townley Kenton and realized that this was the place for her to continue to flourish! Outside of work, Laura enjoys going for walks, listening to live music with her husband, Bryan, and playing video games with their two girls.

What do you like most about working at Townley Kenton?
The sky is the limit at Townley Kenton! It is such a positive environment and the growth opportunities, both professionally and personally, are beyond anything I have ever experienced in prior roles. This is a place where you always feel a constant push to be the best version of yourself. I enjoy my team members and we support each other – we really are a family. What I find most rewarding about being part of the Townley Kenton team is the genuine sense of camaraderie and support. From day one, I’ve been embraced by colleagues who are not only passionate about their work but also deeply committed to helping each other succeed. About: 
My background in education paved the way for my detail-oriented, and list-loving self to shine as an event director. From there, I worked for various non-profits and gained invaluable tools specifically in graphic design and marketing. When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the soccer field with my husband, cheering on our two boys. My favorite creative outlets are working in the garden, traveling, photography, or whipping up a charcuterie board.
